ALL PIPELINES 8/30-31 - STOP GENOCIDE & it’s not in Gaza/Ecosystem Attack/StandWithUkraine/climate/Human Rights/ProtectSacred Sites
Just a reminder, Republicans control both chambers of the gov't, but they “need support from Democrats in the Senate to pass spending laws.” Apparently the felon can get around this as mentioned in the snippet of a WAPO article included. And yes, this is fact: "Trump is so intent to help the wealthy at the expense of working people that he is ferociously ignoring courts and breaking laws to do so.” But he’s been breaking the law for quite some time as well. He thinks he’s above it. Let’s show him he’s NOT about the law. Keep this advice in mind for next week: “[U]se every tool in your legislative, political and communications tool box to make clear that we are against these destructive and unpopular economic policies, and Republicans are for them. We are for the people and they are for the wealthy.” All of us working together can accomplish what we the people want for all of us. - A Court Rules Against Trump’s Terrible Tariffs Are Illegal (Again), Dems Need To Fight The Battle In Front Of Us This Fall - Not The Battle We Wish We Had
Why do I have issues with this? This alone should explain it: "The website offered years’ worth of accessibly written material on climate science. The site is technically still online but has been intentionally buried by the team of political appointees who now run the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.” His administration has their head up their you know what. What isn't in this administration. - Scientists breathe new life into climate website after shutdown under Trump
This is a national protest, workers over billionaires. Note the link in the last paragraph. - 1,000+ protests planned nationwide on Labor Day
If you need some inspiration through some reading material. If you missed any of Simon’s interviews that you may have missed last week and others, they’re linked here easy to find. I love the reference to the convicted felon as he who shall not be named is also described like this: “Despite his information superiority he is losing his power of persuasion, and it appears that a clear majority of the country is no longer available to him. For they have gone too far; they are doing real harm to the country and working people; there is just way too much crazy, and the People are not too happy about it at all.” Most of us have felt this way for quite some time. This is great news though about the Resolutions Project: “75 resolutions moving or passed in 23 states + DC.” This which we know is definitely unsettling is still hanging over us from Federalist 47: "'one person with both Congress and the Supreme Court helping the [p]resident every step of the way.’” You can see the different resolutions in different parts of the country mentioned. As usual recommended actions can be found at the end of this newsletter. - Sunday Hopium - A Quiet News Weekend? Exciting Resolutions Project Update, We Need To Keep Finding That Higher Gear
IMO not only should he who will not be named protected by SCOTUS go, his entire administration should resign then be charged for their crimes against everyone in this country. They are all complicit. - Trump Should Resign Now
The corrupt administration tried to deport minors in the middle of the night. It’s in the byline. And next, if you’re keeping track of the lawbreaking that he and his administration are guilty of committing, this is yet another they should be held accountable, in other words should bring serious charges. I needed to see something positive today. Looks like this is it. - The Sooknanan Monologue
Couldn’t agree more with this: felon47’s “everything, everywhere, all at once approach is a classic dictator’s tool, designed to overwhelm people so they will get overloaded and turn on.” Mentioned this just in case any of you are starting to feel this way. We can’t back down. This guy is extremely dangerous as has been said multiple times since he’s been sworn into office. Ignore as much of his BS as you possibly can, and fight back. And think about that concluding sentence of the opening paragraph. Most definitely agree here with what is said in the 2nd paragraph. Ya, felon47 is a fan of running scams particularly on all of us. And keep this in mind as we move forward against this corrupt regime: "So, when you see Trump doing this kind of thing, know it for what it is. Use it to help others understand what he’s doing and how it underscores the importance of staying focused on the changes he’s trying to make to American democracy. I hope you’ll use this week’s posts to stay up to speed and that you’ll share them widely." - Sunday Morning Wrap Up
Glad these women are standing up after being ignored for way too long. According to this piece, Ro Khanna & Massie will hold a press conference later tomorrow morning. Good read today about tomorrow. - Rising This Week: Epstein survivors head to Washington, D.C.
I doubt that the tribes are surprised. This is felon47’s M.O. This selfish narcissist only cares about himself. He never thinks about or cares about the consequences of his actions, which is another reason he must be removed from office. He destroys in whatever direction he turns. These dams need to be removed. Of course this orange bully has no conception of what his actions will cause, which, as I just said, he doesn’t give a damn. I look forward to the lawsuits that will follow. - Tribes Condemn Trump for Backing Out of Columbia River Deal for Salmon Recovery
Not something I want to see. We all know who’s responsible. And we’re coming for all responsible. We also know the GOP doesn’t give a damn. My question is why this particular source calls these “entitlement programs” when they’re not. - Social Security and Medicare are coming because the bond market will eventually bring Congress to its knees, economist says
It’s obvious this narcissist never learned a thang in school. Expect more craziness along with his BS attempts to pull stuff he has no power to do. He fools himself by making comments like, “I have the right to do anything I want to do.” Too bad he didn’t listen in school, and had to pay others to take his tests. We will have a huge mess to clean up once he’s gone. It will take years to undo the damage. But once he’s gone he will quickly be forgotten by most. He’s a weak loser as are they who bend a knee to him. We are so lucky to have this already in place so that attempted deportation of Guatemalan children could not be deported: "Congress created a special statutory scheme to ensure that, because of their vulnerability, unaccompanied minors receive enhanced protection and care whenever the government seeks to remove them from the United States.” Note too the changes that can be made re: the tariffs which will be the opposite of what he has tried to do. He loses all the way around like he always does. We sure do need to FIRE him permanently. - The Week Ahead
