Why We Should Vote in November 2018 October 6, 2018 I texted most of the day today for a couple orgs to get people out to vote. Don't ask me how many texts I sent. I have no clue other than it was several thousand. Why mention this? I kept hearing misconceptions about the vote coming up, how there are people out there who actually believe their vote doesn't count, that the electoral college will negate it. So I did spend some time with these people, trying to educate them about the truth of the matter. I found it necessary to do so or these folks would be playing into the hands of the GOP. That's what not voting does. We've already seen how this works. Part of my explanation boiled down to this.
