ALL PIPELINES 8/05 - STOP GENOCIDE & it’s not in Gaza/Ecosystem Attack/StandWithUkraine/climate/Human Rights/ProtectSacred Sites
As the time draws nearer I will continue to post what I find that others may want to read about this case. This is from a local Phoenix television network. This copper mine has to be stopped. As usual the video opens with an ad. This mine will causes irreparable harm as is said in the video. Praying that this won’t happen: "If a judge doesn’t intervene, the land deal could happen as soon as Aug. 19.” This is a short read. - Federal judge to hear San Carlos ApacheTrbe’s bid to halt copper mine
Here’s something to think about: "Native American tribes and individuals filed the case as part of their centuries-old fight for rights in their own land.” And this, well, you’ll see why I’m including this quote: "The underlying subject of the case confronts racial gerrymandering against America’s first inhabitants, where North Dakota’s 2021 redistricting reduced Native Americans’ chances of electing up to three state representatives to just one.” If you’ve been following my posts lately, remember what was said about Section 2 of the VRA? Excellent read IMO. - Stolen Land, Stolen Votes: Native Americans Defending the VRA Protects Us All - and We Should Support Them
Just something else to think about that the GOP have done to all of us: "By gutting climate programs, pressuring central banks, and shielding polluters, Republicans have shifted the costs of a warming world onto the very people they claim to defend.” And this is why we need to go after the GOP because they are responsible while they continue to do whatever Felon47 wants: "Climate change is no longer abstract. It’s the reason your grocery bill is higher, your electricity costs more, and your insurance keeps going up. It’s time to talk about who’s responsible—and who’s paying.” And one more thing to think about, that is if you don’t want to read this article: "The GOP says it’s fighting inflation, but many of its policies are quietly fueling the very cost increases people feel in their groceries, utilities, and insurance.” Quite a read. - The Climate Bill Is Here—And Republicans Just Handed You the Check
Two Big Fights we should focus on according to Simon, the first being fighting Felon47’s rancid and reckless agenda of sabotage, plunder and betrayal,” something that has been repeated multiple times over the last few months, and this: "escalating, traitorous efforts by this 34 times felon and sex offender to end American democracy and make himself an unaccountable czar, a tyrant, a dictator - anything but an American President.” IMO he is NO President. I refuse to recognize him as that EVER. I do disagree with this: “we have no big animating call to action, no core narrative we are working toward.” But that’s just my opinion. I think of those who were protesting just Saturday, what was said on their signs. But it is okay to disagree and still fight against that orange monster in the WH. America was great before that orange thang began his destruction on 1/20/25. Do we really need a slogan? You may think differently than me. I AM tired of Felon47’s lies and claims that are nothing but BS. He’s a loser, period. He is WEAK. He IS a misogynist, a felon, and a pedo, too. - Fighting Trump’s Madman Agenda of Sagotage, Blunder and Betrayal And Some Coffee With The Contrarians
Part of this here in the text is repetitive of what is said in the text to the discussion Simon had with Jen Rubin, Norm Elsen and himself. A portion of the New Yorker article he mentions is included here (paywalls do present barriers). The clip included has a part that stands out for me for whatever it’s worth, which is this: “It’s about seeding the ambience of information, throwing facts and fake facts alike into an environment of low attention, with the confidence that, like minnows released individually into a pond, they will eventually school and spawn.” This is explained in the rest of that paragraph included in this link. Ii wonder if this was really the case: “They [Harris and Walz] misjudged today’s flow of knowledge—what one might call the ambience of information.” I love this description of the wannabe dictator given here by Simon: “He sees himself like a character in a movie who wears makeup, and has fake hair and a girdle that is working overtime.” I’m still laughing. - “The Ambiance Of Information”—A Very Compelling Conversation With Nathan Heller
This I love and it is how it should be for that orange menace and his regime. The byline explains it all. Decent read. As everyone else should be, I stand with the survivors and against the corrupt administration & its members. This was said by one of the victim’s lawyers: "'It is obviously impossible for two people to conduct a decades-long sex-trafficking enterprise involving thousands of victims without other individuals who participated in and facilitated these unspeakable atrocities.’” The outrage is well-deserved. I’m thinking a call-actions lawsuit by the victims against this administration is warranted. The orange one may have that immunity but the rest of his administration doesn’t. - Trump’s DOJ’s "cowardly abdication" of the Epstein probe scorched by survivors
