Yes, the title to this piece did attract my attention. Note the byline. Surprise! Interesting what previous AGs have told their respective presidents about their pardon powers. But then we know TACO isn’t much of a reader. Third paragraph goes into detail how one pardoned who participated in the Jan 6 insurrection has been checked and lost in court. This does go back to after the Civil War. Interesting read. This shouldn’t be a surprise: “Ever since President Richard Nixon dangled pardons to his Watergate henchmen, presidents have used the pardon power to self-deal—granting clemency to friends and family members and donors and to obstruct investigations and reward loyalty.” Also good to know that the president isn’t "insulat[ed] from congressional oversight.” Yes, this is worth reading. - Trump’s Pardon Power Isn’t as Absolute as He Thinks

Of course the village idiot is blaming the Dems for this shutdown when in fact it’s him and his chicken party is what is responsible, always has been. IMO he’s trying to divert attention from this with what is happening in the Middle East. If this corrupt regime is not placing back pay now on the GOP in Congress, he’s looking to switch responsibility to them. Guess what, fool. It doesn’t work that way. We KNOW who’s responsible who is really incapable of governing. Remember this always. Post it somewhere so you remember who is responsible for this stuff we’re all going through with the shutdown: “They’ve worked so hard to have us forget about the Epstein files and what they contain [I haven’t so I doubt it’s working elsewhere].
