Not good if you depend on Social Security. - Social Security Beneficiaries Could See Delayed, Canceled Checks: Reports
Interesting byline. What does it mean for all of us who don’t support what’s happening in the White House? Something to sink in for a moment: “Today’s Republican party is increasingly untethered from a shared political goal (or shared reality, for that matter) with the left and center of American politics. The modern GOP is seemingly dedicated to warping basic foundations of American government and sacrificing personal liberties ” Influence of Silicon Valley is seen here. The fact that this uh concept is anti-egalitarian tells me exactly it’s connection to things like DEI, eliminating it. Anyone not supportive of this current, corrupt government more than likely see why it can’t work for a democracy. That’s mostly the theme of this particular piece by Alex Vindman. Ah, DOGE is part of this, too, in accomplishing their goals (TACO’s administration). Yes, it’s definitely worth reading. See more about how we can fight back. - What is Neoreaction?
Interesting to see, good for us if this is fact. Last sentence of opening paragraph basically says this. DOGE is correctly described as “a budget-lashing propaganda machine.” Most of what is said about Musk here is what we’ve already read/heard from one source or another. It really bothers me when Kinzinger bashes Dems, and he does following his discussion of Musk. How true is what he says we really don’t know. We’d have to see this info through another source. Interesting what is said about Justice Amy Coney-Barrett: “Barrett’s doing what conservatives always claimed to want: applying her view of the Constitution, independent of politics.” Kinzinger does provide info why TACO isn’t happy with some of his uh regime, and Putin. This is an accurate description of TACO: "He’s a man throwing a tantrum because the world won’t revolve around him.” Laughing here. DUH! - Trump’s Empire of Control Is Crumbling
I unsubscribed from The Hill a long time ago, and stopped reading most of their articles, and what do I see when I look at the text here? An article from The Hill. Their rating has changed again I see, checking this morning, as being considered least biased. July 4th, IMO, would be a great day for his budget bill to die. That’s the deadline TACO has given the Senate. This is boldfaced in the text and for good reason. It IS fact: “Trump’s current agenda is one of sabotage, betrayal, and Putinesque oligarchical plunder.” Please note this other important boldface included: “Those of you in states with Republican Senators have a particularly important role to play.” Please make sure to do so whether you think your senators will listen to you or not. Get on their record for opposing the budget. A sample script is included if you need one in the post. This is a great video included that should be watched and shared. Yes, some strong language is included. - Trump Is Putting The American Dream Out Of Reach - And We Have To Fight (New Video), Jolly Jumps In, Trump’s Bill “Losing Steam”
Those who haven’t figured this out, I would think you would have by now. This should be happening: “Major corporate clients like Oracle, Morgan Stanley, and Microsoft are abandoning the firms that donated pro-bono work to the Trump regime.” - Capitulation Comes With a Price
This is a Greg Sargent article today that is a great read. I’m laughing at Miller and his failure to get what he wanted, too. All here is related to immigration and deportations. This makes me laugh even harder at Miller: “It’s not surprising that the failure to impose maximum cruelty a dime-store fascist like Miller.” Poor baby! NOT! Why this matters to the rest of us is this: “This is already hindering other crime fighting.” This administration just never appears to think things all the way through. Shame on them and their incompetence. This "'[I]nevitably will mean fewer resources fighting transnational criminal organizations, drug smuggling, counterterrorism and child exploitation.’” Is America great yet? This is also fact: “[M]ajorities are not ideologically hostile to the mere presence of peaceful unauthorized immigrants in this country; they just want the system to work.” That brings to mind the partisan immigration bill that TACO squashed during Biden’s term because he wanted to run on immigration. See what I’m getting at here? Plus there’s this fact presented, that “[Miller] saving the ‘Western World’ rides on deporting all those unauthorized people, including all those 'moms.’” This is a new Achilles’ heal for TACO’s administration. - Stephen Miller Erupts in Fury Over Low Arrests—and Hands Dems a Weapon
This is from earlier this morning, actually, but still is relevant. We all know TACO is the biggest bully of them all along with Putin. Love this: “Russia’s assumption it could wage war without domestic damage similarly went up in smoke.” Love this too, which is worth repeating: “Vladimir Putin’s sidekick, [the convicted felon], discovered Ukraine actually does have some cards.” A lot is presented here that I could quote but it’s better that you read it for yourself. Note the lessons learned for this corrupt administration we’re fighting about half way through this. The concluding sentence to this piece really sends the message home. Excellent read. - Ukraine has lessons for beating bullies
Something we all need to watch, and share widely. This is when President Clinton and James Patterson joined the ladies on The View. Listen especially to the last 8 minutes of this interview. This is what I was looking for. - Former Pres. Bill Clinton Talks Trump’s 2nd Presidency, Concerns for America | The View
Interesting that Cohen has called both TACO and Musk sociopaths in the beginning of his piece today. One of the headings within this piece describes the bill accurately. It’s not too difficult to find. Some said here we already know from other sources. More than one House Republican didn’t read the bill. Oh yes, the GOP has done this: “House Republicans have given their 2026 Democratic opponents plenty of ammunition to use in campaign ads against them.” Interesting that Cohen sees MTG’s district as safe. - The Big Bad Not So Beautiful Bill
Another post from Simon Rosenberg of Hopium Chronicles worth being checked out. Especially love the first bullet point presented. Most definitely agree with the third one. It’s easy to see why. Interesting posts from other social media related to this as well are included. - The Feud-Three Initial Takeaways
I did miss this because I was listening to other things earlier today, but now I do have a chance to listen, and suggest others who want a clearer understanding of what’s happening in SCOTUS might want to listen, too. 6 opinions dropped today. "We need to be eyes wide open.” The Court “has created a monster and they have to figure out how to put it back in the can.” Listen to what unanimity means to the Court. It’s not the same as what most of us think it is. Learn about The Shadow Docket, no briefing, no argument, no analysis, often not learning the vote on these cases. Th Court “has one responsibility show its work, which it doesn’t.” Most definitely an important listen. Please share. - The Autocracy and Democracy Series: Dahlia Lithwick on the Courts
If nothing else, begin with the 2nd paragraph in terms of what we’re up against. Yup, the title of this piece is fitting and worth a read. The orange felon is so ignorant of history. It comes through daily. I’m surprised nothing is said about the German Chancellor giving the felon his grandfather’s birth certificate, showing his German ancestry. Many of us have seem mentions about this on other social media platforms. Then there’s mention of the kids being torn from their families. An AP article that I haven’t had a chance to read that flashed on my screen about the Massachusetts young man who spoke about the horrors of him being locked up in a facility while on the way to volleyball practice. We do need to keep our eyes on things like this. Really don’t give a damn myself about the conflict between the two sociopaths. - Don’t Lose Site of What Matters
These are all cases decided in the lower courts, not the SCOTUS. Job Corps is one of the cases. The Executive Order to dismantle the Dept. of Ed. which has been upheld. The third one addresses due process. The fourth one stopped the deportation of Soliman’s family. - Donald Trump Loses FOUR COURT CASES Within Hours!
This is the article about the Mass. student that I finally read. Please watch the video included. SMH. Supposedly they’re targeting his dad. Nothing said about any charges against him. Nothing said about any charges against him and his son who was arrested had none. Another case for the orange felon to lose, and hopefully a big price tag if this family sues the US which it should (just my opinion). - A Massachusetts student arrested by ICE on his way to volleyball practice has been released
Tribal consultations are necessary, period. Let this sink in: "'The Trump administration is putting our progress at risk. Haaland listed the White House firings of federal staff; cancellations of grants to federal projects; and proposed budget reductions for water, public lands and tribal communities, as examples.’” Water resources are at stake as well, something the southwest faces as a result of this corrupt administration besides other weather-related issues. - Haaland: Trump cuts threaten New Mexico progress on climate
