We already know the answer to the question posed by this piece’s title, most of us anyway. The byline is disturbing, at least for me. This orange monster has to be stopped like yesterday. We all must stand up to his attempt to force us all into his wannabe dictatorship. Yes, a lot of what this saboteur is doing bothers many of us, and some have suggested focusing on one particular topic so that we don’t burn out, but some like me can’t find it in their DNA to do just that. Too many of the things I follow I’ve been following for years, and I'm sure as hell not going to stop now while this ignorant, unhinged whatever in the Oval Office tries to push his agenda, as well as not just his agenda, but Project 2025 agenda (ya others are involved) forward. It’s as if these things were put together in advance as he continues to push this BS that is not democracy, that are not freedoms, that is NOT what America is all about. He’s attempting to do some of this quietly. This is what they’re trying to do. OK so while reading I wondered if calls have ever been made to the particular 'departments', something I've never heard of but this made me think that besides contacting our Reps and Senators, this should be added to the list. Am I bothered by this? I sure as hell am. What bothers me most is this particular forest. Maybe I was blind when I was young, but from what my dad taught me growing up was far from opening lands in this particular forest, the Tonto National Forest was nothing like what we’re seeing today. How can this happen now even though the Supreme Court hasn’t issued its ruling, or has this Court been bought by Resolution Copper. This shouldn’t be happening now. Look at the damage this particular copper mining company has done elsewhere. Think too of the water tables. How much will be wasted when water is a high commodity for survival in the southwest desert. I saw no mention of this particular fact in the other article I read about this egregious action about to take place. Never mind that this will destroy a sacred place that should be honored. Two foreign-based companies having their eye on this real estate, what has been their reputation from other places where they have mined? From what I’ve read, it’s not good. Yes, I looked into this much earlier. I don’t believe a damn thing Resolution Copper has to say. You should know as well as I that no companies like this can be trusted. This particular statement couldn’t be more true: “'Destroying Oak Flat for profit of a foreign mining company is really a moral, cultural and environmental catastrophe of historic proportions for [FOTUS].’” Btw, look too into the history of copper mining in AZ, and note the destruction left behind. As always, the title here presents the topics of info included in the post. Many of us have been focused on the first one, and will be focused there until Abrego Garcia is brought home. We do need to continue doing what we can to fight to preserve our democracy, and not allow the Orange Felon to be successful in his plans.
