Interesting podcast that is an interview of Andrew Weissmann by Tim Miller of The Bulwark that goes into what's been happening in the DOJ. The title of this is what has been happening there. Worth a listen. -  Weaponizing the Justice System—Again

Let this sink in: "Then a Fox correspondent told the truth: Trump got spooked by the bond markets.” Both entities involved, Fox News and the Orange Felon do have issues with the truth, the former actually telling the truth re: the  economy. Yes, the tariffs are still in place. Fox is trying "to provide cover for the Orange Felon wherever possible.” Another key statement at the end of this broadcast, food for thought: "Part of authoritarianism is the ability to project absolute power. This is an important read. A lot is at stake, not just Abrego Garcia’s freedom, but how the corrupt Administration is responding to Judge Paula Xinis’ expanded order. Remember the threat that also arose last night, about citizens not in step with the current Administration now  being targets is disconcerting: “Clearly they are contemplating resort to ‘diplomatic engagement’ as a way around restoring Abrego Garcia. And that means they could do the same to any of us, as long as they managed to spirit us out of a country before we have due process. Sure the Supreme Court says you have those rights, but as long as the government has a way around, those rights exist only on paper.” IMO the Administration is being given too much leeway. Another update that Allison Riggs will contest in the federal courts now that the NC Supreme Court’s ruling that does disenfranchise some voters. Not a good precedent at all can be set by this ruling. This current Administration is screwing up big time, in some respects that benefit those of us who oppose drilling. It’s good to ssee this. What he is doing is targeting destruction of the Alaskan environment by undoing what protections Biden put in place. Shame on this chump. Oppose drilling in Alaska.
