The courts continue to get it all wrong when it comes to guns. Way too many school shootings. It started again today. Until laws are written and enforced so that our kids remain safe in the schools, this will unfortunately continue to happen. And yeah, I come from a family who stood for gun control. We can either continue to say this shouldn't have happened on the first day of school for many, or we can take a strong stance against the NRA lobby and all politicians who continue to agree with that lobby. - For the Love of Guns

This is a good read. Maybe some of us fall in the atheist Jew category, but it doesn’t make us less Jewish. The catastrophic events of 10/7 live on in all of us, drawing us together as antisemitism continues to rise. I didn’t have any grandparents to warn me. They had all passed before my parents married. Their parents escaped the pogroms in what was called Russia, which is now Ukraine, the Kviv area. Not all of my relatives left. Some I know didn’t survive the Holocaust. This is not something before now that I’ve really been open about much. - This is what our grandparents warned us about.
