Teachers go through a lot, which includes hours of professional development throughout their careers, some taking more classes as well as the university level yet all this appears to mean nothing to those who are responsible for determining their salaries. How many have to work multiple jobs to make ends meet, yet republican governors think its more important that they carry guns, guns that then put their students as risk, something ignored by the TN legislature and governor. This is a good read. Maybe some of us fall in the atheist Jew category, but it doesn’t make us less Jewish. The catastrophic events of 10/7 live on in all of us, drawing us together as antisemitism continues to rise. I didn’t have any grandparents to warn me. They had all passed before my parents married. Their parents escaped the pogroms in what was called Russia, which is now Ukraine, the Kviv area. Not all of my relatives left. Some I know didn’t survive the Holocaust. This is not something before now that I’ve really been open about much. - This is what our grandparents warned us about.
