This is a good read. Maybe some of us fall in the atheist Jew category, but it doesn’t make us less Jewish. The catastrophic events of 10/7 live on in all of us, drawing us together as antisemitism continues to rise. I didn’t have any grandparents to warn me. They had all passed before my parents married. Their parents escaped the pogroms in what was called Russia, which is now Ukraine, the Kviv area. Not all of my relatives left. Some I know didn’t survive the Holocaust.
