STOP ALL PIPELINES 10/2 STOP CULTURAL GENOCIDE/Ecosystem Attack/StandWithUkraine/Jan 6 Hearings/climate
Climate deniers don't care, so more events like Ian will happen, that is unless the rest of us put then in their place, and do what's necessary to address the climate crisis. - Window for climate action closing fast
Fact vs. reality. please listen to this segment. The MAGA Rs are claiming something that isn't a part of the Constitution. They "don't have a right to take up arms against the U.S. government." As for Ginni Thomas' claims, total BS. - Rep. Raskin: “The whole country should be alarmed about where the GOP is today” via @msnbc
Short segment that deserves a listen. Kyiv Security Compact presented to Zelenskyy by Fmr NATO Chief. Essence - make Ukraine capable to defend itself against any Russian attack.... a commitment to defend itself by itself. - Fmr. NATO Chief: NATO Reacted “Too Mildly” When Putin Annexed Crimea via @msnbc
Not a believer in polls but also have issues with this guy who just now calls himself a Dem when in fact he's been a Republican his entire life, and still fits their mold, plus is receiving endorsements from Republicans who haven't changed their party designation. Remember the so-called promises made by another guy who changed parties in 2015, and what happened when he won by electoral vote? Don't be fooled, LA. - Caruso gains ground on Bass' big lead
The Russian bully having his minions do his dirty work. This is BS! Putin has NO right. He's so out of line. This jackass is just trying to push out his chest. Consequences! Push back! Putin will continue to fail. He will not win this war he began. - Russia seizes Ukrainian director of nuclear plant
IMHO Steel's voting record does her in. She voted party lines, not what's best for her constituents. Also of note, Steel refused to interview. Chen has been transparent. Best choice. - Jay Chen for Congress
Something we've already realized, but let's just add this info: Justices sitting on the SCOTUS bench who lied under oath during confirmation hearings. - Supreme Court is moving U.S. law even further right
Actually I've taught some of these banned books. Thinking many of us need to band together to oppose the so-called political activists and religious zealots who think they have the right to tell us what we can read. Btw, the books I've taught: Mockingbird, Maus I, Maus 2, Anne Frank, & quite a few others I'm sure these groups who have issues with just because they're not only ignorant, but also unable to think critically. There are more of us. STAND UP! - Opting to read banned books
Something we've already realized, but let's just add this info: Justices sitting on the SCOTUS bench who lied under oath during confirmation hearings. No confidence in this Court whatsoever. At least 5 on that Court's bench have no business there whatsoever. IMHO they're corrupt, all 5 of them, another reason we need a stronger Dem controlled Congress. - Supreme Court is moving U.S. law even further right
We already have domestic terrorism here in the U.S. awakened by MAGA Republicans. Don't fall for Putin's attempt to frame things acc'd to the way he wants to see them. - Russian battlefield defeats could lead to terrorism in the West
Of course these folks are MAGA Republicans. SMH It appears they just don't get it. They can complain, but what have they done to alleviate their situation? - Climate change is fueling extremism, raising tempers along with temperatures
Quite a read. Still it appears that the far right are who cause the issues, not looking at what's really happening in terms of climate change. As a NY Times op-ed said today, if we turn to those who have been living on these lands much longer than any of us who came across the pond initially, just maybe what is faced can be addressed. - Rural climate skeptics are costing us time and money. Do we keep indulging them?
It's the right thing to do, and you know it. Think about the fragile ecosystems within it, and the wildlife that depend upon it. - Keep Big Bend Wild
Just watched this, and an struck to her calm, her care about what is happening to Ukrainians in her country. I agree with her re: no possibility of negotiations. These war crimes committed by Russian soldiers under Putin's order can't be forgiven, esp. the murder of children. Ukrainians are strong. Putin will not intimidate them. - Ukrainian First Lady Olena Zelenska on Russia's war, educating Ukraine's children and her country's future via @60minutes
In Ukrainian. Putin can't kill this spirit. - The toll of Russia's war on the children of Ukraine via @60minutes
Considering that #WaterIsLife, I'll just leave it at that. - One Navajo community finally gets electricity after more than 10 years. It’s still waiting for water. via @coloradosun
