Quite a read. I knew from experience how hot it can be in AZ in the Phx/Tempe area. This blew my mind. As for that discussion of electric bills, I remember one of $400+ one more in the late 80s. for 1 month. This article also talked about trailer homes built before 1974 “when the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development set federal standards, tend to be poorly insulated and made from materials that are entirely inappropriate for a desert, like metal” - just a note, the GOP were in power then, Nixon in fact.
