STOP DAPL & ALL PIPELINES 9/21 / STOP CULTURAL GENOCIDE./Ecosystem Attacks

Tomorrow is a call-in day. If you live in the US, please take part, and perhaps tweet about your action if you have a Twitter account. Here's all the information you need:

Event Name: YOUR REPRESENTATIVE and SENATORS: Save the EPA!
WHEN: September 22nd (all day)

WHERE: Your Phone!

WHAT: Save the EPA Call In Day! Fossil fuel companies like Exxon can’t be trusted to act responsibly. We’ve seen it time and time again -- from Exxon Valdez to Deepwater Horizon. These companies will do anything they can to get out of cleaning up their messes.

We need the EPA to keep these companies in check: to monitor compliance, issue fines, order cleanups, and take polluters to court.

Right now, Congress is debating whether to slash the EPA’s budget by more than 30%. We need Congress to stand up for the EPA and our communities!

Make a quick call into Rep. XXX’s office TODAY and urge him/her to stand up for the EPA! Do the same for your Senators as well. A toll free number for Congress to contact both your Rep.'s and Senators' Washington D.C. office is 1-844-USA-0234, or you can use this number to contact them: (201)224-3121. Call their local offices too!

When you call, you may get an answering machine, but you’ll likely talk to one of the constituent services representatives. Make sure to give them your name and where you are calling from. Tell them that you are a voter and you want Rep. XXX or Senator XXX to stand up for our clean air and our clean water, and protect the EPA. Any budget cut, big or small, would be detrimental to our environment. That’s why you want them to vote against any measures that would threaten the EPA’s budget. You might also want to add in some reason why you personally care about the EPA! You should feel free add that in!

Call in day sample phone script:

Hi my name is [NAME] and I’m a voter calling from [WHERE YOU’RE FROM]. As a constituent I’m calling on Rep. XXX to stand up for our clean air and our clean water, and protect the EPA. Any budget cut, big or small, would be detrimental to our local environment. In our state, cutting the EPA’s budget would paralyze our ability to address [INSERT LOCAL ISSUE, ex: local superfund site or pollution problem, vulnerable community, natural area in your region]. That’s why I want Rep. XXX to vote against any measures that would threaten the EPA’s budget.

Talking points:

Local impacts
  • Over a third of the EPA’s current funding is passed directly to state environmental agencies. This means our [INSERT your state] environmental protection agency would lose significant funding.
  • We won’t be able to protect our precious natural places like [INSERT protected natural area in your region] from environmental destruction.
  • The Trump budget would severely cut the enforcement of our environmental laws, likely enabling polluters who illegally poison our air and water to evade responsibility.

Sample Asks
Below are specific asks catered to your Senators’ or member of Congress’s specific stance on environmental issues.
If swing (on the fence about if they will reject the budget):
  • Given your commitment to [INSERT issue member is passion about ex: public health, clean air and water] will you commit to rejecting any budget that guts the Environmental Protection Agency?
If champion (openly plans to vote to reject the budget):
  • Given that you’re a strong advocate for environmental protection, will you commit to vote against any cuts to the Environmental Protection Agency’s budget?
    • If YES: Thanks for being a strong advocate for environmental protection! Will you commit to being an environmental champion in Congress and do everything you can to make sure your colleagues don’t compromise or try to make backdoor deals that cut the EPA’s budget or fund fossil fuel projects on our public lands?
If opposition (openly plans to vote for the budget):

  • How can you prioritize tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans above protecting our water and air? Will you commit to protecting our water and air by voting against any budget proposal or appropriations bill that cut funding to the Environmental Protection Agency?

Many thanks in advance for participating tomorrow, working for the coming generations. :)

PLEASE SHARE FAR AND WIDE! THANKS!

ALL PIPELINES 7/01 - STOP GENOCIDE & it’s not in Gaza/Ecosystem Attack/StandWithUkraine/climate/Human Rights/ProtectSacred

The big UGLY bill passed the Senate today.  This statement speaks volumes: " By threatening Tillis, Trump has only drawn more attention to Tillis’s truth-telling about his swindle of MAGA voters.” The guest for this Sargent podcast is a Republic is Timothy Noah. The byline does the same. The convicted felon has banned from the GOP. How does anyone really do that? The felon as usual shows what a loser he is as well as how much he LIES.  Interesting all who are afraid of alienating the orange menace. The felon has animal instincts. He’s not especially smart. The bill will pass.  Most definitely worth a listen. - Trump’s Fury at Thom Tillis Backfires, Wrecking His Vile Medicaid Scam I’d like to see this happen to this convicted felon occupying the White House as well as every member of his family as well as all members of his cabinet. The fact that this might now be our reality should raise red flags. Yes, it’s happening. Looks like this corrupt administration is also using ...

This is no surprise, what is implied by the title of this from Hopium. Worth a read. - Trump Is Making America Poorer, Weaker, Less Safe And Less Free And the American People Are Unhappy About It   This is what we’ll continue to see in the White House. Interesting anti-Trump statue now at the National Mall. I’m hoping someone will be posting pictures of this for all of us to see. What’s included on the plaque is fitting for sure. That Booker/Padilla bill must pass with enough votes to override any veto likely to come from the White House. That in itself will be tough. Keep asking about Epstein. - A New White House Meltdown and More Bad News For Trump Breaking news opens this interview: Basically Bondi has lied about the Epstein. Give that byline time to sink in. What the hell is up with Paramount? This gives me good reason NOT to use this streaming service. Geez, a side deal. All that’s happening with the mainstream news gives the rest of us good reason to not support any deals mad...

Yes, worthy of reading. Think about this concerning what the current administration is claiming: " Japanese officials said there was  no written agreement with Washington — and no legally binding one would be drawn up  — after Trump administration officials claimed Tokyo would back investments in the US from which American taxpayers would reap nine-tenths of the profits.” This guy is a huge loser. Actions for you to take next week are toward the end. -   Epstein Is A Huge Problem For Trump. So Are His Tariffs And The Upcoming Budget Fight I couldn’t agree more with what the title of this article. The byline says it all. That is truth. They’re not supporting the Constitution.
